What’s the Job?

Due to an increase in demand for SVQ's across the region we’re looking for a talented Engineering SVQ Assessor with experience in Fabrication and Welding to join the Commercial Skills Delivery Team.

The Skills Delivery Team are responsible for delivering certificated and bespoke professional courses, SVQs, MAs and Open Learning courses in a college that aims to be one step ahead.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a person with a relevant engineering qualification and recent experience of working in fabrication and welding. Experience as an assessor is desirable not essential as full training and certification will be provided.

To succeed in the role, you will have some or all the following:
  • You will be educated to a minimum of SCQF Level 7 in a relevant qualification.
  • Experience working in Fabrication and Welding is essential.
  • Experience of working in an engineering environment.
  • Excellent time management and planning skills are required to manage a portfolio of candidates.
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including confidence using online systems, Office 365, and any job‑specific software/systems.
