We are seeking a qualified and HV-authorised Supervising Engineer to support the Hard FM operations at HMRC's flagship site at Pilgrim Quarter, Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of high voltage and complex low voltage electrical systems under Mitie's Central Government portfolio. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Supervising Engineer will oversee day-to-day engineering activities, supervise shift engineers, and act as an Authorised Person (Electrical) in accordance with Mitie's Electrical Safety Rules. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, leadership, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
We’re looking for a qualified Supervising Engineer with high voltage (HV) authorisation or clear eligibility for appointment under Mitie's Electrical Safety Rules. You should have strong technical knowledge of HV and complex LV systems, including switching operations, safety documentation, and compliance frameworks. Experience supervising engineering teams in facilities management or critical infrastructure environments is essential.
