Overview

Engineering Services Manager – £65,000 salary plus £5,000 car allowance. East London. Facilities Management – Financial Services. Pension, healthcare, and development budget.

Our client is one of the largest FM and engineering services providers globally. Based at a high-profile Global Financial Services organisation, the role is based at a HQ building in London’s Docklands. You will work alongside the Account Lead, managing day staff as well as a 24/7 team of multi-skilled shift engineers, and you will need to motivate the team and drive standards. Total compensation for this role is £70,000, comprised of a £65k salary and £5k car allowance, as well as standard benefits including pension, healthcare and a healthy budget for training and development.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all services are delivered in line with the key performance indicators as per contractual agreement
  • Internal and client audits are completed and meet required levels of adequacy and effectiveness
  • Ensure the building is fully compliant from an organisational perspective, applicable to statutory and legislative compliance
  • Ensure compliance against company policies and procedures for all HSEQ aspects
  • Actively report and address non-compliance issues
  • Work with the Head of Critical Engineering to ensure that all aspects of CEM are delivered in accordance with the framework
  • Complete regular audits to ensure compliance with the CEM process
  • Report any non-compliances identified
  • Ensure all risks are reported both internally and externally when required
Qualifications
  • Candidates must be fully qualified in an engineering discipline (electrical or mechanical), ideally through a full apprenticeship, with at least five years’ experience as a Technical or Engineering Services Manager
  • Preferably experience within a financial or corporate HQ or similar
  • Additional training such as HV/LV authorisation, 2391, IOSH or NEBOSH Managing Safely is preferable
  • Specialist knowledge of the FM industry with a high degree of initiative, creativity and broad discretion
  • Commercial and financial awareness in a client environment
  • Experience interfacing at all levels throughout an organisation
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a hands-on approach to resolving issues before they become problems
