A leading financial institution in London is seeking an Employment Tax Advisor - Vice President to provide expert advice on Employment Tax matters across the EMEA region. The ideal candidate should be CTA qualified, with extensive experience in Employment Tax, Global Mobility, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify risks and support compliance efforts. This role offers the opportunity to influence tax strategies in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify Employment Tax risk and provide Employment Tax advice.
  • Attend meetings with relevant SMEs to identify new Employment Tax matters.
  • Work with Payroll teams to review new wage codes before implementation.
  • Support with the filing of the UK PAYE Settlement Agreement.
  • Assist with Tax Authority audits and information requests.

Job description

EMEA Employment Tax Advisor within the Corporate Tax team which will work closely with EMEA Tax Advisory colleagues and broader Global Corporate Tax and Employment Tax team. The team work closely with HR EMEA Employment Tax Operations team and provide advice to HR: Compensation, Benefits, Pensions, Payroll and Global Mobility teams across EMEA in relation to Employment Tax matters.

As an Employment Tax Advisor - Vice President in the Corporate Tax department you will provide advice to Lines of Business, Expenses and Contingent worker teams in relation to Employment Tax matters. You will work closely with HMRC and other Tax Authorities in the region.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify Employment Tax risk and provide Employment Tax advice across the EMEA region.
  • Attend regular meetings with relevant SMEs across the region (Corporate Tax, Payroll, Legal, Global Mobility, Compensation, Pensions and Benefits Team, Expenses teams and others) identifying new Employment Tax matters and providing advice.
  • Work closely with Payroll teams across the region to review new wage codes prior to implementation.
  • Appropriately elevate and socialise new Employment Tax related matters and risks to EMEA Employment Tax lead and as required, broader stakeholder group.
  • Support with the filing of the UK PAYE Settlement Agreement and other Employment Tax returns across the region, as required.
  • Support with Tax Authority audits, information requests and enquiries as required.
  • Identify Employment Tax changes and advise stakeholders accordingly.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
  • UK Employment Tax specialist. CTA qualified or equivalent.
  • Broad range of experience of Employment Tax matters including Global Mobility Tax, Benefits, Expenses, Compensation and Share plans.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn, proactively take on projects and work collaboratively across various teams and departments building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent record keeping and risk management skills.
  • Good judgement required.
