Job description

At QED Legal, I’m partnering with a standout firm in Leeds that’s been flying up the Legal 500 rankings in recent years. If you’re an Employment Solicitor with 2–6 years’ PQE and you’re ready for something a little different from the usual private practice track, this could be the move that elevates your career.

You’ll step into a high-quality caseload from a Partner who’s transitioning internally, so you’re not building from scratch—you’re inheriting work where the calibre speaks for itself. Day to day, you’ll advise across the full spectrum of employment law. The work is primarily respondent and contentious, so tribunal experience is ideal, but you’ll also dip into non-contentious advisory matters when needed. Expect a healthy mix of unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE and whistleblowing, all with the backing of a team that’s trusted by serious, sophisticated clients.

What makes this special isn’t just the work—it’s the culture. This is a business that’s going from strength to strength, with awards to show for it, genuine investment in training and development, and a real commitment to wellbeing. Having placed people here consistently, I can vouch for the positive ethos and impressive retention across the country. People join, and they stay, because they grow.

The package is competitive and balanced with great benefits—think generous holidays, pension, life cover and more—alongside the kind of support that lets you do your best work and build your profile in the Leeds market.
