An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join a highly regarded Employment Law team in London. My client is a well-established, Legal 500-recognised firm with a leading Employment department that advises a wide range of commercial and private clients. The team combines technical expertise with a commercial and pragmatic approach, offering both contentious and non-contentious advice at the highest level.

Employment Solicitor — Position Overview:
  • Advise employer clients on the full spectrum of employment law issues
  • Handle contentious and non-contentious matters, including Employment Tribunal claims
  • Support corporate transactions with due diligence and TUPE advice
  • Draft and review employment contracts, staff handbooks, consultancy agreements, NDAs, and settlement agreements
  • Advise on reorganisations, disciplinaries, grievances, and day-to-day HR issues
  • Manage cases involving employment status, redundancy, and restrictive covenants
  • Provide clear, commercial advice to clients and work autonomously with partner support
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship management
Requirements of the Employment Solicitor:
  • Qualified Solicitor with 3–8 years’ PQE in Employment Law
  • Experience advising employers (experience with senior employees also beneficial)
  • Strong academic background and high-quality training
  • Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment work
  • Practical knowledge of the Employment Tribunal process
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and commercially minded
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and client relationship focus
  • Confident, professional, and discreet in all client dealings
  • IT literate with a practical working knowledge of digital tools and case management systems
