Job description

Want to take home significantly more of what you bill? Tired of the pressure to hit increasingly challenging targets? Want to spend more of your time focused on your clients? Want a better work life balance where you’re in complete control of your time?

Then maybe it’s time for a change -Jurit LLP could be the place for you.

This opportunity would suit a Partner who is keen to maintain a successful practice whilst also seeking a solid platform to enable internal referrals of work to and from other practice areas. It would be attractive to partners seeking a significantly better work/life balance.

A Legal 500 ‘One to Watch’ (2024) firm, and an employment team ranked in Legal 500 for Employers, we are made up of a team of over 40 people based across the UK – many of whom are lawyers who have come from Top 20 or Magic Circle firms or were in-house counsel at FTSE 100 companies.

Our practice provides City of London levels of service to a diverse array of large and small corporate clients and individuals located nationally and internationally.

At Jurit, we all share common ambitions and values, and a focus on delivering expert insight and outstanding client service, with an appreciation that work is just one aspect of life.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the benefits of working flexibly on their own terms but is also keen to collaborate with colleagues.

With that in mind, we would like to recruit a partner who has the entrepreneurial flair to develop and grow the practice, delivering trusted advice founded on outstanding service, with the support of a fantastic infrastructure of practice management, marketing and business development professionals.

We offer:

  • An attractive remuneration structure (80% of billing).
  • 20% of fees billed on work refereed internally to others.
  • A share of residual profit at the end of the financial year.
  • Infrastructure support – from IT, finance, business development, marketing and of course PA support.
  • The freedom to work from home or wherever you choose.
  • A great team of likeminded, top-quality lawyers to work alongside.
  • An array of tangential practice areas and skills to collaborate with and provide an extensive overall client offering.
  • Professional Indemnity insurance cover.

You will:

  • Be an Employment Partner
  • Have an established client base
  • Have strong technical knowledge
  • Have good business development experience
  • Be someone who builds solid client relationships
  • Be a businessperson not just a lawyer
  • Collaborate well with your peers on internal referrals
  • Be adept at undertaking the general responsibilities of partnership.

Key skills:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor of England & Wales.
  • Have 10 years'+ PQE.
  • Be a top-quality solicitor with a track record.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills – ability to foster strong relationships through oral and written communication.
  • Excellent client management and business development skills.
  • Able to work virtually and be proficient in the use of IT.
  • Have the right to reside and work in the UK. If candidates have a team they would like to bring with them we are happy to discuss.
