Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker - Oxford

Are you an individual who is passionate about supporting children with their mental health needs?

A really rewarding position has become available for an Emotional and Mental Health support worker to work in a school in Oxford. This is an excellent position to gain really valuable experience whilst also making a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children.

Responsibilities
  • Directly help children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health.
  • Support and shadow the class teacher.
  • Provide 1:1 support for SEN students.
  • Help run engaging lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and exciting place.
  • Behavioural management may be required.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Resilient and confident in supporting young people with challenging mental health needs.
  • Great opportunity for aspiring psychologists, social workers, therapists and counsellors.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential.
  • Those with a background in sports, art or drama will be at an advantage.
  • Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.
