Job summary

A leading multinational engine manufacturer is looking for an Emissions Compliance Engineer based in Peterborough. This role involves ensuring compliance with worldwide emissions regulations for diesel engines and resolving regulatory compliance issues for various products. Candidates should have over 3 years of experience and a strong engineering background. The position offers a pay rate of £32.15ph PAYE or £43.64ph Umbrella, with the contract expected to last for 12 months. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Emissions Compliance Engineer for a leading multi-national engine manufacturing client based in Peterborough.

This is an initial 12 month contract position working on site 5 days a week. Pay rate is £32.15ph PAYE or £43.64ph Umbrella.

Responsibilities
  • Awareness/understanding of compliance responsibilities associated with worldwide emissions regulations for diesel engines.
  • Champion a strong understanding and proactive engagement of global (emissions) regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Involved in the resolution of complex emissions regulatory compliance issues across multiple products and multiple territories.
  • Support compliance processes for the UK EPRC group and ensure alignment with US EPRC team where appropriate.
  • Ensure robust execution of various compliance processes across all territories. Work closely with EPRC India team in the governance and execution of these processes.
  • Create robust, efficient process documentation and continuously improve those processes.
  • Prepare and submit conformance reports to governmental agencies.
Education / Experience
  • Ideally 3+ years experience, knowledge and working experience with engines.
  • Some understanding of emissions legislative requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of engines, engineering degree.
  • May be proficient in key IT software packages that drive efficient processes e.g., Alteryx.
  • Ability to digest technical / regulatory issues, distil into clear appropriate guidance and champion / lead to resolution.
  • Strong moral compass. Has a passion for doing things right and to a high standard.
  • Confident and articulate communicator.
