Electronics Support Engineer

Farnborough, Hampshire

£40,000 £45,000 per annum

A new opportunity has arisen for an Electronics Support Engineer to join a growing electronics manufacturing team in Farnborough. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical electronics experience who enjoys a mix of hands-on problem solving, technical support, and working closely with customers and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support quotation activities by reviewing RFQs and drawings, preparing costed quotations and bills of materials for electronic and cable assemblies, and identifying suitable alternative components for obsolete or long-lead parts (including ERP data entry).
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to resolve documentation and manufacturing issues within the Electronics Workshop and across the wider business.
  • Assist with testing, fault-finding and inspection of assemblies to meet customer requirements, drawings and specifications (typically to IPC-610 / 620 Class 2 or 3).
  • Monitor departmental workload, flag resourcing issues in advance and support efficient planning of tasks.
  • Promote good health and safety practice, highlight risks and provide guidance to workshop staff.
  • Help maintain high standards of housekeeping, equipment operability and test equipment calibration across the Electronics Workshop.
