Overview
An Electronics Design Engineer is required for a leading control and technology solutions manufacturer, based in Tonbridge, Kent.
The successful electronics design engineer will need to be able to deal with all aspects of the company's current and planned product range and have a profound technical knowledge within controls and circuit design.
A strong candidate profile benefit would be to have some experience in mobile phone app design and development.
Responsibilities
- Perform analogue (primarily audio) circuit design, including class D power amplifiers.
- Digital circuit design, including processors and interfaces.
- Working with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth for streaming audio content.
- Embedded firmware design using C programming language in a GCC environment.
- Embedded Linux on ARM platforms and digital signal processing.
- Understanding of product design in relation to the regulatory requirements for EMC, ESD and the Radio Equipment Directive.
- Develop technical specifications from marketing department briefings and work in a team.
- Work occasionally in a customer facing environment and conduct site visits when needed.
- Use MS Office packages and Cadence OrCAD design tool.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualifications within Electronic Engineering or a related subject.
- A profound understanding of PCB design and testing knowledge of PCB assemblies.
- An in-depth knowledge of wireless technologies such as Bluetooth for streaming audio content.
- An understanding and knowledge in mobile app design and development.
- Be based within a commutable distance of Tonbridge, Kent.
Salary & Benefits
- £28,000 to £35,000 - dependent upon experience. Hybrid working pattern on offer.
- Working hours: 35 hours a week - Monday to Friday. 9am to 5pm with a 1 hour unpaid lunch.
