Responsibilities

• Immediate work will be design proving of first off PECs to allow integration into system
• Compliance Proving
• Developing test jigs for PECs (custom interface boards)
• Development of test specifications
• Supporting system integration and design proving
• Maintaining good documentation of design information
• Engagement with hardware and software engineers both within the local team and with other sections
• Implementation of required design changes (updating circuit designs and working with PCB Layout engineers). This role relies on collaboration between team members, and the successful applicant is expected to independently research solutions to problems. The small team size means each person covers many varied aspects of electronic design work

Qualifications

• A good understanding of electronic design, both analogue & digital
• Degree qualification or time served experience
• Capable of circuit analysis
• Good practical fault finding skills

Desirable

• Previous experience of operating in a defence or high safety integrity environment
• Experience of low-noise analogue techniques
• Knowledge of high-power techniques (kW level)
• Experience of FPGA/CPLD development
