Job summary

A technology recruitment agency is seeking an Electronic Engineer for a workshop-based role in Horsham. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing and repairing electronic products, capable of using various test equipment and reading circuit diagrams. Electronic Engineer - Test & Repair
Location: Horsham

Salary: £28,000-£35,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Electronic Engineer looking for a hands-on role in testing & repair? Roc Search are currently working with an existing client who are urgently seeking their next permanent hire to join their team!

Responsibilities
  • Integrate, test, and provide full support for electronic products.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults at system, board, and component level.
  • Design, implement, and improve test systems and processes.
  • Recommend design changes to enhance performance or address obsolescence.
  • Build and adapt test equipment and fixtures as required.
  • Document processes in line with quality standards and ESD requirements.
Skills / Qualifications
  • Strong practical electronics skills and ability to read circuit diagrams.
  • Experience using test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, PSUs, and bespoke tools (training provided).
  • PCB testing, repair, and fault finding experience.
  • Confident with soldering and basic prototyping.
  • Familiarity with calibration and traceability standards.
  • Comfortable with light metal work (marking, drilling).
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn.
