About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Surveyor / Inspector to join our social housing client’s Property Services team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the M&E Manager and wider team with the delivery, inspection, and compliance of all mechanical and electrical services across the housing stock.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a varied environment, combining office-based responsibilities with on-site inspections and surveys.
Assist the M&E Manager with the planning, delivery, and monitoring of all electrical and mechanical works.
Carry out surveys, inspections, and condition assessments of electrical systems and other M&E components across residential buildings.
Inspect and report on works related to:
Ensure all works are compliant with relevant electrical regulations, building standards, and health & safety legislation.
Produce accurate inspection reports and documentation.
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical or compliance issues.
Use Microsoft Office and other digital systems for reporting, tracking, and communication.
Trade background – preferably in electrical, fire alarm, or door entry systems (relevant qualifications must be produced).
Strong technical understanding of M&E systems, compliance requirements, and statutory regulations within social housing or local authority settings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with good general IT skills.
Excellent communication, organisational, and reporting abilities.
Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle (LBN will provide a parking permit).
Work with a leading London Borough on a wide range of electrical and M&E assets.
Play a key role in ensuring tenant safety and compliance across housing stock.
