Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking an Electrical Authorising Engineer to manage electrical health and safety protocols for a major water infrastructure project. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant engineering qualification and have hands-on experience in electrical installations. Responsibilities include overseeing safety regulations, providing technical guidance, and collaborating with project stakeholders. This position offers a salary range of £65,000 - £75,000 plus additional benefits.

Qualifications

  • Registered with a relevant engineering institution as a Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer.
  • On-site experience within the Electrical Installation industry.
  • Master's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Support the H&S team in electrical safety matters.
  • Authorize and administer electrical safety rules.
  • Provide professional guidance on electrical construction.

Skills

Registered with a relevant engineering institution as a Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer
On-site experience within the Electrical Installation industry
Recent experience of working as an Authorising Engineer or Electrical Site Supervisor
Good technical background with respect to Low Voltage systems
Experienced in verifying safe systems of work
Good understanding of UK health and safety legislation

Education

Master's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar qualification

Tools

IET Wiring Regulation - 18th Edition certification
