Client : Over the past 50+ years our client has established themselves as the household name in the UK Construction market. With a turnover north of £1 billion they undertake projects in a variety of fields including Pharmaceutical, Rail, Infrastructure, Commercial Offices, Residential and public sectors.

Senior Electrical Project Engineer : up to £85,000 + Car Allow. + Travel + Pension + Healthcare

Based in Weybridge the successful candidate will be reporting into a Senior Project Manager / Project Director. He / she will have an emphasis on technical input and coordination. Within their own discipline they will be responsible for leading the engineering and delivery of the project (Project size £60M. MEP)

The facility is on a large plot the site will house a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility with a total value north of £200m.

The successful candidate will be expected to take the project from pre-construction through to handover. Key to this role is relationship management, team coordination and project reporting. The position will be supported by a team of engineers, construction managers and supervisors

Role / Responsibilities

• Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
• Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
• Technical submittals
• RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
• Value Engineering where applicable
• Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project
• Health & Safety management (RAMs)
• Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
• Management of variations
• Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
• Progress meetings with sub-contractors, client and internal meetings
• Overseeing commissioning stages
• Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover

The Ideal Candidate should have

• Must have experience running MEP over £10M
• Must have major commercial, healthcare or pharmaceutical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role
• Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Wates, Mace and Lend Lease
