Job Description
Our client, a Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor, is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join their team covering the Basingstoke and London areas on a permanent basis.
As a Project Engineer within the MEICA business, you will bring demonstrable MEICA or industrial installation experience and practical skills to the team. You will provide detailed technical input to the project, ensuring works are safe and meet specifications prior to implementation. The Project Engineer will focus on achieving safety targets with zero tolerance for unsafe practices and occurrences.
You will actively engage the project construction team in successful project delivery. Working closely with the Project Manager and the project team, you will ensure that activities are planned and executed to meet project requirements safely and cost-effectively. You will also contribute to customer satisfaction and uphold quality standards.
Our client's civil engineering and infrastructure projects vary in value, complexity, and duration, from established frameworks to bespoke projects and emergency works. Project values range from £200k to over £10m. Your role will be essential in driving efficiencies, managing MEICA elements, and maintaining high standards in project activities.
Understanding project risks, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.
MEICA Director, Regional Managers, Project Managers, Site teams, clients, and technical assurance teams.
Essential Skills: Strong communication, team coordination, organizational skills, leadership, problem-solving, time management, relevant degree, safety qualifications, and experience in similar roles.
Desirable Skills: WIMES standards, utilities industry experience, program management, contract knowledge, and safety certifications.
