Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UK seeks an Electrical Plant Workshop Engineer to join their hands-on team. You will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and improving plant equipment while working closely with customers and engineers. The role involves installing safety systems, conducting inspections, and providing technical support to R&D teams. Candidates should have solid electrical engineering experience, preferably with automotive or plant systems. This position offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical engineering with focus on plant systems.
  • Knowledge of CAN bus systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install safety systems, calibrate equipment, and test plant specifications.
  • Prepare plant for sale, including decals, testing, and paint touch-ups.
  • Complete PDI inspections on incoming and outgoing machinery.
  • Refurbish and repair older machines.
  • Diagnose faults and equipment defects.
  • Support field engineers with diagnostics.
  • Assist Training staff with customer engineering training.
  • Provide technical support to R&D teams.
  • Support Dealer network with maintenance and testing.
  • Maintain engineering, H&S, and customer service records.
