Department: Production

Location: Bembridge

Description

  • Employment type: Permanent
  • Employment basis: Full Time
  • Salary: Competitive
  • Standard Hours: Flexible Working / 40 hours per week
To ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant production / installation of electrical systems and components to the aircraft. Provide technical support to the production team, creating and documenting process whilst ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process development and optimisation: Develop, validate, and improve manufacturing processes for all aircraft electrical systems.
  • Technical Support: Provide engineering support to production team to resolve technical issues and ensure timely delivery.
  • Design for manufacturability: Collaborate with design engineers to ensure electrical designs are manufacturable, serviceable and cost effective.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all electrical manufacturing activities comply with aviation regulations.
  • Tooling & Documentation: Specify tooling, jigs, and fixtures, and create detailed work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Analyse defects, implement root cause analysis, and drive corrective/preventative actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase efficiency.
