Salary : £50,646 - £52,674

12 Month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of a monthly Lift Service programme, lift breakdowns and trappings.
  • Ensure that the contractors adhere to the lift breakdown and trappings times as per the contract.
  • Deliver lift modernisation and refurbishment programmes, applying project and contract management skills from development to final handover.
  • Monitor contractor’s KPI performance and ensure that all lift works are carried out to a high standard and to the expectation of the council, leadership team and residents.
  • Lead and conduct meetings with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and using the appropriate communication style for each audience.
  • Monitor budgets, including forecasting future spend and controlling overspends for both lift repairs and lift modernisation/refurbishment programmes.
  • Manage staff in relation to work allocation, performance and development.
  • Write reports such as minutes and other documentation.
  • Work within a team, engage productively with colleagues and build positive relationships with contractors and consultants to deliver a healthy and positive lift service across the borough.
Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Lift Industry, relevant regulations, guidelines and legislation; practical experience in delivering Lift maintenance programmes and day-to-day lift repairs.
  • Experience and knowledge in procuring lift contracts is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of the impact of the new regulations such as the Building Safety Act and its effect on lift service delivery.
  • Relevant NVQ3 Lift & Escalator professional qualifications, including EOR / 202 Basic Lift Safety and EOR / 205N Basic Service Lift Safety qualifications.
  • Relevant project and/or contract management qualification.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to use professional language with diverse stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of spreadsheets for lift programme delivery, budget monitoring and reporting. Ability to use Google accounts is desirable but not essential.
Workplace

Work primarily in the office; hybrid working may be locally agreed by your line manager.
