With operations in 17 countries and employing over 6,000 staff worldwide, our business responds to the needs of our clients by delivering high-value engineering expertise tailored to our clients’ most complex challenges.

In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to ground breaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC).

Position

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical, Instrumentation & Control (EI&C) Engineer to join our Design Office team. In this role, you will help manage and support the delivery of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C nuclear power stations. You will work closely with suppliers and clients to ensure everything stays on track, meets project requirements, and follows safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Be the main point of contact for clients and suppliers on matters related to instrumentation and safety equipment.
  • Assist in reviewing supplier documents, making sure they meet project technical requirements.
  • Manage any contract changes and communicate these to the client and supplier.
  • Answer technical questions from suppliers and clients regarding electrical and control systems.
  • Track the manufacturing process of equipment and ensure it is delivered to the site on time.
  • Assist in coordinating the various disciplines involved in electrical design, ensuring seamless integration of I&C systems within the overall plant design.
  • Ensure that all work follows nuclear safety standards and guidelines, especially related to instrumentation and radioprotection equipment.
  • Write and review technical documents, reports, and safety reports, ensuring that they are in compliance with project standards.
  • Ensure that all technical documentation is properly organized and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
Profile
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in nuclear power, control systems, and 3D design technologies.
  • Understanding of control logic, automation, and functional safety standards.
  • Familiarity with 3D design tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while ensuring quality and safety.
Visa & Eligibility

Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build).

Remuneration & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary tailored to your experience and background. Whether you’re earlier in your career or bring more senior-level expertise, we encourage you to apply if this role aligns with your skills, or if you’re open to discussing other opportunities within this discipline.

We also offer a benefits package, both standard and enhanced, which is designed to support your wellbeing, development, and financial future, including:

  • 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays, with the ability to swap bank holidays for cultural or celebrations
  • Matched Pension Scheme
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Neonatal Care Leave
  • Employee Referral Scheme
  • Private Medical & Dental Insurance
  • Electric Vehicle Scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Training & Development, including additional qualifications and accreditations relevant to your role
  • Travel Insurance – for both business and personal travel
  • Employee Assistance Programme
