In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes, supporting learners from their first steps into FE through to advanced study. You will contribute to curriculum development, act as a tutor to student groups and play a key role in ensuring each learner is prepared for progression and employment.

A teaching qualification is not essential-what matters is your Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification and industry experience. The college will support you through a funded teaching qualification and provide ongoing CPD opportunities.

The Role:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Installation across multiple levels.
  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials.
  • Support learners by setting personalised targets and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Act as a Tutor, offering academic and pastoral guidance to individuals and groups.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate student records and participate in recruitment and engagement events.
  • Full-time, site-based role across Slough & Langley College campuses.
The Person:
  • Qualified to a minimum Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • Holds (or willing to work towards) a Level 5 teaching qualification.
  • Level 2 English and Level 2 Maths.
  • Experience working in the electrical/vocational industry.
  • Ability to motivate learners and deliver engaging sessions.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and delivering an outstanding student experience.
  • Flexible, organised and confident working with a range of stakeholders.
