Job summary

An engineering contracting company is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join their team in Billingham. This role involves preparing and submitting tenders, reviewing specifications, and liaising with clients. The ideal candidate has a degree or trade qualification in Electrical or Instrumentation, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in Excel and other IT tools. Qualifications

Job description

Our Client are looking for an Electrical Estimator to join their growing contracting business.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced Electrical estimator with Process, Power Generation,Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas industry experience is essential.

• Strong Electrical, Instrumentation and Special Systems knowledge and experience is essential

• Electrical or Instrumentation degree / trade qualified is essential

• Salary negotiable depending on the experience of the candidate

• Position to start immediately

Specific Objectives:

• Review clients Specifications and tender information in detail

• Strong understanding of Contracts T&C’s and ability to converse and negotiate terms

• Ensure that tender documents are correct and technically accurate

• Timely preparation of and submission of Electrical & Instrumentation tenders

• Attend site visits and client briefings

• Work closely with clients and other colleagues to review tenders and handovers

• Finalisation of all tender bids and to attend pre award meetings to secure contracts and hand over to Project Managers

• Working to tight deadlines

• Liaising with customers to review, interpret, and understand customer electrical specifications/requirements

• Obtain Supplier & Sub-contractor quotations

• Maintain electrical specification confirmations for all contracts, identifying and costing for upcharges and requesting concessions

• Developing key relationships with supply chain and with customers / specifies

• Support the project team from Tender stage to handover

Skills Required

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as an Electrical Estimator

• Strong analytical, mathematical and IT software skills

• Strong ability with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint

• Must have strong organisational skills

• A proven track record
