Job description

Location: London - Home based with daily travel to client sites. We aim to minimize travel where possible and offer localized geographical areas.

Salary: Starting salary of £41,714 + £4,000 location allowance (if living within the M25) + company car / £4,250 car allowance and excellent benefits package.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operate in line with Bureau Veritas Core Values and Code of Ethics.
  2. Fully utilize all operational systems, ensuring accurate data entry.
  3. Act as a fully integrated team member, owning all allocated inspection and technical activities.
  4. Ensure examinations and testing are completed within set timeframes.
  5. Produce and distribute inspection reports professionally within daily timescales.
  6. Follow Bureau Veritas Health and Safety processes and systems.
  7. Safely carry out electrical safety tests on portable appliances in accordance with relevant regulations.
  8. Conduct inspections within authorities and standards, recording activities as per company methods.
  9. Provide technical and legislative advice to clients, team members, and external bodies.
  10. Maintain excellent client relationships and meet customer service standards.
  11. Coordinate with Regional Planner to ensure daily plan completion.
  12. Stay updated on standards and legislation affecting electrical installations.
  13. Represent the company, utilizing technical expertise as needed.
  14. Identify business opportunities and advise relevant areas.
  15. Work with Area Managers and Regional Directors to meet KPIs.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Relevant electrical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or time-served apprenticeship with 18th edition.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and legislation, including H&S requirements.

Qualifications Required:

  • 18th Edition regulations.
  • City & Guilds Part 1, 2, and 3 or Level 3 City and Guilds 2365 Diploma in electrical installation (HNC desirable).
  • Preferable: City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 courses (or equivalent).
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
