Anglian Water @one Alliance is a totally collaborative organisation made up of nine partner companies (Anglian Water, SWECO, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, and Skanska) and an extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme. To ensure our workforce can achieve a healthy work/life balance, we require office or site presence on an average of three days a week. As an Electrical Engineer within one of our four business units, you will provide electrical engineering technical input to projects in the Anglian Water region.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems, particular specifications schedules, data sheets and drawings.
• Design and specify LV assemblies, particular specifications schedules, data sheets and drawings (e.g. MCC, LV Switchboards and Control Panels).
• Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (e.g. electrical schematics, cable calculations and termination diagrams).
• Liaise with others on technical issues, the construction team, operations, suppliers and utility companies.
• Specify and select instrumentation based on the process design.

About You

• Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Strong electrical engineering background.
• Willingness to be collaborative and work with a multidisciplinary team to solve complex problems.
• Experience in the water industry is an advantage.
• As site visits will be required, you need a full UK driving licence.

Unit Alignment

Depending on your skills, experience and interests, you could be aligned to one of our four business units:

• Place Based Thinking – delivers some of the largest and most complex projects across the @one Alliance. The team manages 19 catchments including key sites such as Whitlingham, Flag Fen, Great Billing, Cotton Valley, Bedford, Colchester and Ipswich Cliff Quays. Projects involve managing all parts of the network from rising and gravity mains, pumping stations, high spilling overflows, and water recycling centres.
• Water – provides strategic support across the clean water network, covering system performance and infrastructure planning. We assess the future hydraulic state of the network in response to population growth and increased demand, support the design and delivery of capital and infrastructure schemes to ensure hydraulic resilience, and work with optimisation teams to enhance overall network efficiency.
• Water Recycling (East and West) – responsible for the collection, conveyance and treatment of wastewater across an extensive network. We operate over 76,000 km of sewerage infrastructure and 1,163 treatment centres, ensuring safe and sustainable discharge to the environment while driving innovation and environmental performance.
