Overview

Electrical Engineer — Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 depending on experience, including on-call work
Location: Rural Penrith area

Adecco Workington are delighted to be recruiting for our fantastic client in the rural Penrith area. This is a superb opportunity to join a company with an excellent reputation.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of manufacturing production equipment, reacting quickly to breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on PLC and electronically controlled equipment.
  • Carry out installations and ensure equipment meets statutory health and safety requirements.
  • Follow safe working practices at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement activities.
  • Work a two-week rotating early/late shift pattern with emergency on-call cover (no night shifts).
Requirements
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing PLC and electronically controlled equipment.
  • Qualification to the latest IEE wiring regulations desirable but not essential.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
