Electrical or Electronic Design Engineer
Near Sturminster Newton, Dorset

This is a great opportunity to join a industry leading company, that specialise with the design and manufacture for a range of equipment, across 4 key sectors.

You will be joining a Highly performing design department and work on projects from concept to completion.

The Role:

Working as part of a project team, reporting to the project manager / technical lead
Providing accurate work status information to project manager
Prepare cost estimates for quotes
Design electrical / electronic elements and sub-assemblies of test systems
Design PCBs when necessary
Research & source specific items when required
Produce & maintain accurate electrical drawing packages (including schematics, Bill of Materials and wiring schedules).
Generate product reference documentation / handbooks when required

The Candidate:

Formal engineering qualification in electronic / electrical design - this can be a degree or an apprenticeship/diploma.
Minimum 2 years industry related experience in electrical engineering at design / implementation level
Familiarity with analogue and digital interface circuits.
Design / drawing office experience including Autocad (or equivalent) an advantage
Experience with National Instruments hardware/software an advantage
