About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical building services systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and fire alarms
• Prepare detailed calculations, specifications, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Collaborate closely with mechanical and public health engineers to develop integrated MEP solutions
• Conduct site surveys and inspections to inform and verify design decisions
• Engage with clients and project teams to understand requirements and provide technical advice
• Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards, such as BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance
• Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design initiatives
• Mentor junior team members and support continuous process improvement

Candidate Profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical building services design within consultancy or related sectors
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit experience is desirable
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical design principles and relevant UK regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
