Electrical Design Engineer – LV / Control Panels / Water – Contract

Birmingham (Hybrid) 12 Months Outside IR35 Dec/Jan Start
Rate: Highly Competitive

Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with experience in LV systems, control panels, or water/utility projects? We are recruiting for a technical, hands on Electrical Design Engineer to support a major UK pumping/water infrastructure programme. This is a delivery focused design role, not managerial, with strong potential to extend.

The Role

• Produce and review electrical designs: LV systems, MCCs, control panels, cable sizing, SLDs, schematics, I/O lists
• Ensure compliance with BS / BS EN, BS 7671, WIMES, CDM and water/rail standards
• Support electrical calculations, documentation checks, QA reviews and FAT/SAT activities
• Work with project, mechanical and procurement teams to deliver integrated design packages

The Person

• Electrical design experience in water, wastewater, utilities, pumping stations, or industrial LV systems
• Strong knowledge of BS/BS EN standards and UK wiring regulations
• Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical; ETAP/EPLAN desirable
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent); ECS card; 18th Edition desirable
• Able to interpret P&IDs, equipment lists and client specifications accurately
