A cutting-edge UK-based aerospace company is seeking an Electrical Controls & Instrumentation Engineer to support the development and integration of mission-critical systems for spacecraft. This hands-on role bridges internal engineering teams and specialist suppliers, ensuring compliance with rigorous ECSS standards and delivering high-reliability systems for space missions.

Ideal for an engineer with experience in electrical systems, instrumentation, and embedded control particularly within the aerospace, defence, or space sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead review and specification of control systems across suppliers and internal teams.
  • Apply ECSS standards to electrical design, integration, and testing phases.
  • Guide development of FPGA/microcontroller-based embedded systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/control system issues during integration.
  • Produce technical documentation aligned with ECSS and customer requirements.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related discipline.
  • Industry experience in aerospace, defence, or space electrical systems.
