• The EHS Advisor for Cytiva is responsible for supporting and driving compliance with Business Continuity and Environment, Health and Safety practices across the site and leading focus on positive culture.

This position is part of the EHS Department located in Walton Road and will be full-time on site. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in achieving the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) objectives of the Walton Road site and ensure the site meets all corporate legal and legislative requirements, identifying and interpreting relevant Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, and implement necessary measures related to all manufacturing techniques in operation at Walton Road.
• Coordinate EHS activities and programme deployment between operational and support functions across the site to maintain compliance of all legal, corporate policy, procedures and initiatives with particular focus on 4E risk assessment, COSHH and investigations.
• To assist in improving the Business Continuity Management system to support business improvements.
• Manage, design and deliver training and communications to ensure compliance and build functional competency including the support of implementation and sustainment of 5S and Kamishibai processes across the site and design, development and/or review of Standard Operating Procedures and/or Work Instructions
• Assist EHS Dept. or lead where competent, with the completion of internal and external audits against EHS and BC standards and procedures and help coordinate and implement the Company’s policy and objectives to meet the current requirements within an ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO22301 framework.

• The essential requirements of the job include:
• Minimum of NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
• Internal auditor training or willing to undertake training.
• Ability to conduct and manage risk assessment and investigation systems and understands hierarchy of control, leading and lagging indicators.
• Problem solving skills, can conduct root cause analysis and formal investigations
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and understanding of ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO22301

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• medium to high volume manufacturing processes
• lean manufacturing and risk management and the principles visual management, standard work and daily accountability
• Writing and delivery of training materials such as toolbox talks, classroom training
