Job description

What will I be doing?

During your shifts, you’ll ensure that our plant runs smoothly in compliance with environmental regulations. Your responsibilities include monitoring operations in the control room, inspecting plant processes, and addressing any issues that arise. You will:

  • Lead a team of shift personnel, including Senior Operations Technicians and Operations Technicians
  • Serve as the Senior Authorised Person on site
  • Take responsibility for the facility outside of office hours

What are the requirements?

Ideally, you will have experience working in an Energy Recovery facility or a similar power generation or chemical process plant, with a solid understanding of their operations.

You will also need:

  • A qualification at HNC level (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering
  • Technical expertise in boilers, incinerators, steam systems, and high voltage switchgear (S9/S4)
  • A strong awareness of Health & Safety, with IOSH or similar qualification
  • Excellent team management skills and the ability to motivate and develop people
  • IT literacy, experience with permit to work systems, and knowledge of environmental legislation

SUEZ will provide extensive training, including BOAS Cert IBO and NEBOSH General Certificate, if you do not already possess them. You will be a key member of our team.
