Job Overview

GSL Education is looking for a Level 3 qualified member of staff for an outstanding team in a nursery in Southampton, SO16. Applicants must have at least 1 year’s experience working within an early years setting. First aid, safeguarding, behaviour management and food standards certificates are desired but training can be given.

Responsibilities
  • Guide children as a Nursery Nurse / Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behaviour challenges and promote positive outcomes.
Requirements
  • Ideally a Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare / Early Years.
  • Experience working across all age groups in either nurseries or schools.
  • Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions.
  • Applicants holding a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle will be prioritised.
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy along with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Dedication to the success of students.
Location & Pay

Full-time, 4–4.5 days a week. £13.68 per hour.
