Job summary

A local educational institution in Devon is seeking a dedicated Early Help Support Worker to join its Safeguarding team. The successful candidate will oversee Early Help provision and support young people and families through early intervention. Responsibilities include managing caseloads and liaising with teaching staff and external agencies. The ideal candidate will have good literacy and numeracy skills, experience working with young people, and ideally be Level 3 Safeguarding trained. This is a full-time position with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.

Job description

Salary : NJC Grade E : 30518- 33699FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern : This is a permanent position working 35hours per week 39 weeks per year

We are seeking a dedicated Early Help Support Worker to join our Safeguarding team at Pilton Community College.

This is a vital role in supporting young people and families through early intervention promoting wellbeing and reducing barriers to learning.

You will manage your own caseload liaise with colleagues and external agencies and help foster a positive inclusive culture across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Early Help provision within the school and maintain best practice.
  • Proactively identify students and families who would benefit from early support.
  • Manage a caseload and develop tailored support plans.
  • Liaise with teaching staff safeguarding leads and external agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
  • Promote mental health awareness and positive behaviour culture.

What Were Looking For Qualifications :

  • Good literacy / numeracy skills
  • Level 3 Safeguarding trained although training can be provided.
