Job description

We understand that success is achieved through our people, and we are searching for a committed and passionate Duty Manager to join our growing business. As Duty Manager, you will work as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 per hour supplement for the time that you manage shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for your customers.
  2. Play an active role in your store to "sell a 1 & save a 1" to help drive sales.
  3. Deliver on all agreed actions set for you by your line manager.
  4. Engage, develop & retain great people:
  • Support and work with the Talking Shop Rep in your store.
  • Support team engagement in your store.
  • Create an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
  • Share your knowledge to support team up-skilling.
  • Follow processes and ensure standards:
    • Complete actions from your daily floor walk focusing on customer experience.
    • Provide positive service in-store and at the doorstep.
    • Follow cash handling and security policies.
    • Implement all "One Best Way" digital processes.
  • Leadership:
    • Be approachable and customer-focused.
    • Respect colleagues and work enthusiastically.
    • Take action to reduce waste.
    • Care about the business and colleagues.
    Experience & Skills:
    • Experience in retail management or supervisory role is preferred but not essential.
