A major consultancy in Birmingham is seeking a Drainage Engineer for a 6-month assignment. This hybrid role requires managing works on the highway drainage network and conducting site inspections. The Opportunity

A 6 month assignment is available to work as a Drainage Engineer in Matlock. Whilst this is a hybrid role, 2 days a week will be on site at the client’s office.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
  • Managing cyclic, reactive, and planned works on the highway drainage network
  • Undertaking site inspections and surveys as required
  • Supporting the collection and management of data relating to highway drainage assets
  • Providing timely and appropriate responses to customer and service user enquiries
You will have the following qualifications & experience
  • BTec Higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical and practical problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in highway drainage asset management and maintenance, or transferable skills from a similar field
  • These roles will work closely with other services across the Highways Division to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
