A leading defense organization in Stevenage is looking for a Verification and Validation Lead to coordinate the physical functionality of advanced Laser Directed Energy Weapon systems. The role involves ensuring design compliance and managing technical risks while working with multi-disciplinary teams. Candidates should have systems engineering knowledge and strong presentation skills. Salary: Up to £57,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity:
The role of the verification and validation lead for the physical domain is to co-ordinate the overall physical functionality, performance and constraints of the DragonFire system with the weapons system team in order to ensure the consistency of the weapon system product with system requirements and project commitments.
This includes understanding, communicating and certifying all aspects of the DragonFire Physical Design for all system components, including:
The V & V lead will need to co-ordinate the work packages for both internal and external suppliers to develop certification strategies for the physical domain. Working with RMO’s and DAs to ensure that DVP’s have appropriate coverage.
This role will be focused on the physical certification aspects of the systems. Although an understanding of how these sub-systems work will also be required to support product delivery.
