Job summary

A social support organization in Walton-on-Thames seeks a compassionate Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker for a 6-12 month contract. The role involves providing support and advocacy to individuals experiencing domestic abuse in the Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell, and Spelthorne areas. Ideal candidates will have experience in advice work, be empathetic, and have excellent communication skills. Full driving license required. Competitive salary between £25,000 and £32,000 P.A. for full-time commitments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the issues facing people experiencing domestic abuse.
• Recent experience of advice work in any voluntary or statutory organization.
• Experience of supporting victims of domestic abuse and evaluating risk factors.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, advocacy, and outreach services to individuals experiencing domestic abuse.
• Conduct safety planning, risk assessments, and guidance on accessing key services.
• Maintain casework records for continuity and monitoring requirements.
