Dispatch Transport Clerk – Night Shifts (Temp to Perm)
Location: Aylesford
Shift Patterns Available:

  • Sunday to Wednesday, 19:00 – 07:00

  • Wednesday to Saturday, 19:00 – 07:00

  • Type: Temporary to Permanent
    Pay: £15.10 per hour during the week, £18.12 per hour on weekends

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an organised and proactive Dispatch Transport Clerk to join our busy transport operations team on a Night shift pattern. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate to build a long-term career in logistics.

You will play a key role in supporting the transport department with planning, dispatch paperwork, yard checks, and driver liaison — ensuring everything runs smoothly and in full compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in transport planning and vehicle scheduling.

  • Accurately enter and manage dispatch paperwork and delivery documentation.

  • Conduct yard trailer checks and report any discrepancies.

  • Liaise with drivers to ensure clear communication and timely dispatches.

  • Monitor and support compliance with transport regulations and internal procedures.

  • Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint to manage and share transport information effectively.

  • Maintain a clear and professional telephone manner when dealing with internal teams and external partners.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a transport/logistics environment preferred
Strong communication skills and confident telephone manner
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint
High attention to detail and accuracy
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
