Job description

The Director, International Operations WMX will lead the operational execution and global scalability of artist merchandise and D2C physical music programs across markets in EMEA. This role sits at the intersection of global commerce, supply chain, and artist brand strategy, ensuring that every product program in your remit is delivered with operational excellence, creative integrity, and commercial success. You'll partner closely with regional merch and commercial teams, label affiliates, senior leadership and third-party vendors to manage timelines, logistics, compliance, and localisation for global merchandise and physical music initiatives - spanning D2C, retail, and tour channels.

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end operations and project management including e-commerce programs, production, logistics, fulfilment, supply chain and inventory management.
  • Partner with regional merch teams and label affiliates to launch localised and global assortments, licensing opportunities, tour support and global D2C campaigns.
  • Collaborate with local and centralised commercial and supply chain teams to manage the end-to-end process and revenue optimisation of physical music products via D2C.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate timelines and costs, and ensure compliance with international trade and sustainability standards.
  • Coordinate operational readiness for global drops/programs, pre-orders, and tour events.
  • Analyze sales, margin, and fulfillment data to improve efficiency, profitability, and fan experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, marketing, finance, tax, and artist management to align global programs.
  • Orchestrate stakeholder engagement and reporting for all levels of the organisation, ensuring visibility and alignment from direct management through senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in merchandising operations, global supply chain, or e-commerce logistics, ideally within music, fashion, or entertainment.
  • Deep understanding of international fulfillment, customs, and regulatory environments.
  • Proven success managing multi-territory product launches and working with cross-border stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship management abilities across cultures, time zones and up to senior leadership.
  • Passion for music, artist brands, and global fan engagement.
Preferred
  • Experience in tour merchandise or event logistics in multiple international markets.
  • Familiarity with multi-currency, multi-language e-commerce platforms and international payment systems.
  • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and production practices in apparel or consumer goods.
