Overview

A well-respected charity based in Oxford is seeking a Finance Director to join their team. Reporting to the CEO, this is a key role responsible for overseeing all finances for the organisation. They are open to both full-time and part-time applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day finances while leading a small team.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial reports for the senior management team and Board of Trustees.
  • Oversee the work of the finance team, including improving current policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with charity SORP, VAT, and other financial regulations.
  • Manage cashflow closely.
  • Provide strategic financial advice and support to the senior leadership team.
  • The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week in the office. Candidates seeking either full-time or part-time work are welcome to apply.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least five years' experience in a senior finance role.
  • Proven track record of financial management and reporting in a charity or not-for-profit organisation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues at all levels.
