Supervises and manages the day-to-day financial and business office functions of the Aquarium. Analyzes the financial condition of the Aquarium and prepares related reports. Coordinates the preparation of the annual budget. Provides financial advice, leadership, and guidance to Aquarium departments. Oversees Business Office. Serves as a member of the senior management team and the Finance/Audit Committee.

Supervises Bookkeepers and Accounts Payable staff.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (Minimum levels)-Degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.-CPA certification is desirable.-Minimum of ten years progressively responsible accounting experience which should include financial statement and cash flow preparation, internal controls, payroll and cash management expertise and compilation of the documentation for Form 990.-Knowledge of and experience with Sage Intacct accounting system-Non-profit accounting experience is required.-Working with a Board of Directors is preferred.Any acceptable equivalent combination of education or experience which demonstrates the background necessary to perform the functions of the position may substitute for the above.
