Contract Opportunity: SME Microsoft Fabric Engineer - End-to-End Delivery

We're supporting a major organisation on a high-impact project that requires an experienced Microsoft Fabric Engineer who has delivered Fabric solutions end-to-end, from Lakehouse pipelines to Silver/Gold medallion models and Power BI‑ready datasets. If you've worked extensively across Fabric's engineering stack and can hit the ground running, this one's for you.

• Location: Remote (UK)
• Day Rate: Negotiable
• Contract: Short‑term engagement with potential extension

• Production experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse (Delta tables)
• Synapse Data Engineering (Spark notebooks)
• Synapse Data Warehouse (SQL)
• Fabric Data Factory pipelines
• Building Silver/Gold (Medallion) data models
• Strong SQL + Python (ideally Py Spark inside Fabric)
• Transforming GA4 Big Query export data
• Ingesting external APIs/SaaS sources (ideally Contentful or similar)
• Preparing Power BI‑ready data models (fact/dim schemas)

Preferred

• Familiarity with Azure data services (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL)
• Experience joining web analytics with CMS/CRM data
• Understanding of data governance + PII handling in analytics platforms

Nice to Have

• dbt (Core or Cloud)
• Experience with modern lakehouse stacks (Databricks, Snowflake)
• Background in nonprofit/charity analytics (not essential)
