Job summary

A healthcare provider in the United Kingdom is looking for a candidate to support digital initiatives for placement learning. You will work in partnership with key stakeholders to enhance the virtual placement models used by pre-registration learners. Job Summary

This is a new and exciting opportunity based within L&SC PCTH working in partnership with L&SC PCTH teams, including the central team, locality teams and General Practice Education Facilitators (GPEF) across Primary Care. The post holder will be responsible for supporting with the development of digital initiatives for placement learning which will support with building capacity and capability across the L&SC PCTH footprint. This will involve working in partnership with key stakeholders to further develop our virtual placement and pre preceptorship model for pre-registration learners.

About us

The Lancashire and South Cumbria Primary Care Training Hub (L&SC PCTH) has been developed to support the NHS England deliverables outlined in both the Common Operational Guidance and Quality Framework. The primary functions of the Training Hub is to:

• Develop and expand placement capacity
• Ensure workforce planning is in place
• Increase recruitment to Primary Care
• Recruit and embed new roles
• Retain the workforce within Primary Care
• Offer placed based tariffs

Educational and workforce development opportunities will be provided across the Primary Care workforce which will include:

• Apprenticeships
• New to Practice (Fellowships)
• Continual Professional Development
• Leadership Development
• Ad hoc opportunities offered by NHS England

Job Responsibilities

• Working in partnership with all key stakeholders to further develop a clinical virtual placement and pre-registration placement for health care learners.
• Ensuring the technological platforms utilised for placement are efficient and professional.
• Developing associate documentation which can be utilised within a digital framework.
• Providing high quality learning experiences for all learners across the placement models.
• Participating in multi professional quality assurance monitoring of education in practice across the placement models in accordance with Quality Assurance systems in partnership with education providers.
• Supporting educators/mentors/assessors/supervisors within the digital placement elements to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Ensuring all placement areas have a multi professional placement booklet/portfolio with information around the digital elements for learners, educators, patients and carers.
• Communicating digital educational and practice information across placement providers and education institutions.
• Networking locally, regionally and nationally with peer groups to support best practice sharing.
• Identifying gaps in resources, education, development and knowledge to provide action plans.
• Identifying further learning experiences that will enhance learning opportunities.
• Evaluating feedback from learners and educators/mentors/supervisors/assessors to develop action plans for further quality improvement.
• Ensuring equality and diversity issues are recognised and addressed in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures.
• Ensuring confidentiality for all stakeholders at all times.
• Undertaking research and development relevant to learning within a digital environment.

Terms

Secondment or employment (Fixed term) until March 27.

Hourly rate £17.78 – £23.82 depending on experience.

Part‑time 22.5 hrs/week.

Flexible working required.

Travel will be expected.
