We’re on the lookout for an exceptional DevOps engineer to join our growing team. Your work will have a significant impact and the role will expose you to working on a range of open-source projects for the not-for-profit sector.

You will be working with other DevOps engineers, but also with PO, development and QA teams, helping to define the deployment tools and processes in Compuco.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain production infrastructure and mission-critical systems.
2. Liaise with Development, QA, POs and other stakeholders to be aligned with the needs of the company infrastructure.
3. Stay up-to-date with security best practices and integrate security at every level of the stack.
4. Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues for live environments.
5. Provide infrastructure architecture advice for Compuco development teams.
6. Investigate new infrastructure technology and solutions.

Experience Sought:

1. Considerable experience in developing automation using Ansible and Terraform.
2. Experience with running containers in production (Docker / Swarm preferable).
3. Web server and PHP applications administration experience (NGINX preferable).
4. Experience with cloud technologies (our stack is mainly AWS) and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
5. Database administration experience (Mysql or equivalent).
6. Experience with Shell Scripting (Bash / PowerShell preferable).
7. Excellent Linux administration skills.
8. Good Git skills.
9. Familiarity with Jira or similar tools for project management and issue tracking, including creating and managing tasks, collaborating with team members, and tracking project progress.
10. Good understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, with the ability to work in an Agile development environment.
11. Experience using Jenkins for infrastructure tasks automation (nice to have).
12. Experience with Drupal administration (nice to have).
