Are you an experienced Administrator, Transport Clerk, Logistics Coordinator, or Data Entry Clerk looking for a nightshift-based role in a fast-paced environment? Heron Foods is recruiting a Despatch Administrator (Nights) to join our distribution centre team at Melton (HU14 3HJ), near Hull.

Shift & Salary Details
  • Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days, two-week rolling rota
  • Salary: £27,540 per annum
What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nightshift Despatch Administrator, you’ll support our overnight logistics operation, ensuring store orders are processed, dispatched, and delivered on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating shop order processing and dispatch during night shifts
  • Issuing loading tickets, dispatch notes, and allocating vehicles for delivery routes
  • Resolving logistical issues such as delivery rerouting or vehicle maintenance problems
  • Communicating with store teams about delivery times and order status
  • Supporting loading and picking teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Using internal systems (including Excel and transport software) to keep operations running smoothly
