Location: South Bristol

Contract: Temporary, approx. 8 weeks (Mon–Thurs)

Pay: Competitive, paid weekly through PAYE

A secondary school in the South Bristol area is looking for an experienced Design & Technology Technician to support their busy workshop on a temporary basis.

You’ll be helping to keep the DT department running smoothly, ensuring machinery is maintained, and supporting teachers and students with practical lessons.

Responsibilities

Support the Design & Technology department to keep the workshop running smoothly, maintain machinery, and assist teachers and students with practical lessons.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Up-to-date Health & Safety Training Standards in Design & Technology, ideally covering:

    • Narrow Band Saw

    • Circular Saw

    • Overhand Planer

    • Secondary Core H&S

  • Confidence in using and maintaining a range of workshop machinery

  • A strong awareness of safe working practices in a school environment
