The Role

Seeking a seasoned Design Manager to lead and coordinate projects from conception to completion. Your expertise in design and technical leadership will be crucial in ensuring smooth execution across various aspects of their solutions. Be the vital link that translates engineering brilliance into commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for project performance including on time and on budget measures against contractual obligations.

Using proven programming / scheduling systems to coordinate all aspects of a project from concept to final commissioning.

Managing the company’s R&D spend, driving innovation in key areas and recognising new supply opportunities through a sound technical understanding of our customers operations as well as our equipment offering.

Delegate workload amongst team and monitor technical teams KPI's ensuring both quality of work and timeliness.

Building relationships and communicating well with suppliers, tracking performance and obtaining favourable pricing.

Assessing new suppliers and selecting or deselecting them from procurement procedures.

Having a strong technical understanding to discuss and resolve issues quickly on site.

The Candidate

Strong design experience.

Engineering qualifications, degree preferred.

People management experience.

Supplier management experience.

Experience working within Oil & Gas or Renewable Energy is highly beneficial.

Knowledge of fabrication or metal manufacturing is highly beneficial.

The Package

Offering from £50,000 to £60,000 dependant on skills and experience. A higher salary may be offered to exceptional candidates that meet all requirements.
