A leading engineering and construction company is seeking an Assistant Design Manager with a Mechanical background for its Birmingham office. Applicants should have approximately 5 years of experience in end-to-end design management, from concept to handover, and possess a first degree in Mechanical Engineering. You'll support consultant teams and enhance design quality across projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects in the rail sector.

The Opportunity:
Laing O'Rourke have an opportunity for an Assistant Design Manager from a Mechanical background to join the team on our portfolio of projects in the rail sector based from our Birmingham office.
An Assistant Design Manager ensures that all design information is reviewed and delivered in line with the design management procedures for completeness and compliance with contractual obligations, including factors such as programme, buildability, safety, maintenance and technical suitability. In addition, the Design Manager oversees the production, control and distribution of design information at different project stages and ensures regular progress reporting of the design is in place.
