Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking engineering business. This lead role is based at their site near the Alcester area and offers the chance to work on bespoke, technically challenging projects within a busy and creative environment. Responsibilities
  • Design and develop bespoke mechanical systems and assemblies tailored to customer requirements.
  • Produce accurate 2D manufacturing drawings and detailed 3D models using SolidWorks.
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BoMs) and supporting technical documentation.
  • Specify suitable components and systems aligned to engineering and safety standards.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
  • Contribute to design reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD, with SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Skilled in producing manufacturing drawings, models, and detailed technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of machined parts, fabricated structures, and assembly methods.
  • Experience working on bespoke or project-based engineering solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Package
  • Salary circa of £40,000+ depending on experience.
